New Business:
The Westerly will definitely stop being a
dive boat at the end of this year. Other Los
Angeles County diveboats are currently
under consideration for the 2006 club
charters. It was suggested that we not only
retain the winter 2-day trip on the Peace (out
of Ventura) in late January/early February
2006 but look into doing the two other 2006
club 2-day trips on the Peace also. Out of
consideration for those members coming
from the southern end of Southern California
it was agreed to try to find a boat in San
Pedro or Long Beach for the one day dives.
We will also be approaching the Sea Sabres
dive club about the possibility of splitting
some dive charters in 2006.

The Cabrillo Museum annual Chocolate
Lobster Dive & Dive-A-Thon will be held on
Saturday, September 24 this year. This
benefit dive for the Cabrillo Marine
Aquarium has a slightly different format this
year. People may still pay an entrance fee
and dive for chocolate lobsters this year.
There will be no limit on the number of
lobsters taken (much less eaten!) but these
lobsters will entitle you to raffle tickets rather
than definite prizes. You can also choose to
raise pledges for your dive and for certain
dollar amounts pledged be entitled to
guaranteed prizes ranging from
mask-and-snorkel sets to 7 ml wetsuits (and
extra raffle tickets). Since the museum stayed
